* Interactive Residential Property Visualizer
The project was led by Northern Grampians Shire Council, in collaboration with Southern Grampians Shire Council, Borough of Queenscliffe, and Moyne Shire Council, all located in Victoria, Australia. The councils needed an interactive property visualiser for their website visitors to easily find and read residential property permit information.
The councils required a user-friendly tool to provide permit information such as for trees, swimming pools and spas, garages, retaining walls, and solar panels. Additionally, it was essential for each council to use the same visualiser but include permit information specific to their jurisdiction. The visualiser needed to be editable so that council developers could update annotation positions and content as regulations changed.
Detailed 3D models were created based on initial designs provided by Northern Grampians Shire Council and rendered into high-quality imagery, then integrated into an interactive property visualiser used by the participating councils. The visualiser was embedded on each council's website via an iframe, and a backend was implemented so council developers could update text and annotation positions as regulations changed, ensuring permit information stays up to date.
